The old brown house at the corner of Main Street and Linscott Road in Hingham finally sold…. and to a developer! It became clear that this developer had bigger plans for more space and a much expanded presence here.
As it happened I walk by the corner every morning as its 3 minutes from home.
Also, we knew the home as our children were friends with the Wielands who owned it from the 1970’s to 1999. I decided to snap pictures on the progress. I was especially drawn in by the partial demolition and foundation work.
So here, condensed to 2 minutes are snippets of diligent work taking place over 10 months from August 2019 to June 2020, with a lot of cold and snow in the middle of that:
