I live 5 minutes away from South Shore Country Club and have a membership. I hate to drive that distance with a car and a golf cart and all. Why add the carbon to the atmosphere for such a short trip? But how can you bike to golf with the cart, clubs, bag, balls etc.?
The Answer:
Lighten the load – use only 7 clubs and get a very light bag (Callaway Hyperlite 1+).

The hyperlite bag with 7 clubs and fewer balls, “bike mode”, weighed only 9.63 pounds, 75% lower than a full bag and cart , “regular mode”, which weighs 37 Pounds!
Here’s the detailed club by club view:

Then simply strap them on to your back bike rack. I load all clubs into the bag’s top rack and mount it with club heads forward. It works beautifully.

So far this season I have totally adapted to the 7 clubs and reduced my handicap 5 strokes! [Did I really need all those 14 clubs?]. I have also used the bike to travel to and from every match, even those at Widows Walk in Scituate, over 10 miles away. Lots of aerobic benefit.
